Rapper Guayo1Hunnit, born Eduardo Cardoza is a 27-year-old artist from El Salvador. He moved to Seattle in ’99. As a young child, Guayo grew up on Reggaeton and hip hop and draws inspiration from artists like Daddy Yankee, 2Pac, Snoop Dogg, Gucci Mane, Don Omar and Anuel AA. Being a fan of both genres, he wants to bridge the gap between both styles. Young Guayo calls his style “Spanish Trap”. As a bilingual artist, he combines Spanish and English while cleverly weaving tales of real life issues that appeal to the masses. Guayo does not want to be put in a box. He is bigger than one style, one genre. He is determined to prove that he is a driven, multi-talented artist.
Guayo recorded his first song in 2019, the name of the track was called “Whippin’ It”. After the single received some great buzz in Seattle, he followed up with another track entitled “Pablo, Pablo”. Although he hasn’t recorded an album or EP, Young Guayo has been releasing dope visuals to accompany singles. Through a mutual friend, Guayo was introduced to DJ FunkDaddy, a gold/platinum producer who has worked with artists like Sir-Mix-A-Lot, E-40, Mac Dre and Baby Bash. Impressed with Guayo’s talent and ambition, FunkDaddy introduced him to JD Hill Jr, the CEO of Til-Ya-Tight Entertainment. Following a successful meeting, Guayo1Hunnit is an official Til-Ya-Tight Entertainment artist.
Guayo1Hunnit is looking towards the future. His goal is to win a Grammy for “Best Song of The Year” or “Artist Of The Year”.
