Frenchy Valens (formerly known as Frenchy Made) was born Lexis Janay Aguilar in Santa Ana, California and got her start in music at the age of 18 as a rapper. Being of Mexican American and French descent on her mother’s side, and of Spanish and Native American descent on her Father’s side, she adopted the name “Frenchy” because she often found herself throwing French phrases into her freestyle rapping as well as her other musical pursuits.

Although she first entered the world of music working on rap and hip-hop projects, Frenchy Valens is not one to be limited to one genre. Her natural talent led her to discover a love for a variety of different genres. This musical variety is reflected in her work, which ventures from classic oldies to Latin favorites to original Pop-EDM songs. But what makes Frenchy special is her unique ability to “phrase” the lyrics and make them her own regardless of the genre.
