Hailing from Blythe, California, Brown Boy’s name reflects his baby-faced look and Chicano pride.
While his first two albums “Change The Game” and “Represent The Brown” had a strong hardcore Chicano rap vibe, Brown Boy received some positive reaction from radio for his single “Next 2 U”. This positive response prompted him to pursue a sound more in-line with his greatest influence — alternative hip-hop group Lighter Shade of Brown. The result was his first true breakthrough hit with his 2005 album, “Livin’ Shady” which featured the slow jam “Superman”. The single topped the favorite playlists of many radio stations and appeared on Billboard’s Top Rhythmic 40 chart in 2006.
Now Brown Boy is back with the must-have album, “Radio Vibes” on Thump Street Records, featuring the single “Be The One”.
